I've been using Khyam tents for the past 4 years - first one lasted me 3 years.

For those not faniliar with them, these are the ones where the poles , inner and outer are all connected with the poles pre-sprung.

Simply pull up the middle top , snap the 2 cross poles into place and peg out - simple. And very quick. Brilliant when it's raining and you want to pack the tent down, job done in under 2 minutes.

Think I paid around £120 for mine, but fully expect to be using it well into 2012.

Cheap tents are definatly not the way to go. Buy a decent tent and make sure you put it up properly and it will last you years.

I have had about 6 years out of my old blacks tent but I wanted more porch space so I just treated myself to a Vango omega 350

Will be trying it out in France at the cobblesoul rally.
