I put a (nearly) new one in, but it still seems louder now than before. Is it possible to put a gasket in wrong? (this is the one between header pipe and engine)

It all seemed to go together and tighten up fine, and it didn't seem like there was any position it could go in but just 'up there' on top of the pipe end. *shrug*

Guess I'll take it apart again and see if there's any deformities on the gasket to indicate I put it in wrong.

The 400 MP3 is a bugger to do exhaust-type stuff with though

Well, just incase wonders... I did mis-position the gasket - way off-center. The LV4Road header pipe isn't a great fit and there's no way to get the gasket accurately centered on the pipe end, except for great skill, which I don't have

I put the original back on. Better fit and it even has a recess for the gasket to go in - you can't get it wrong.

Still a bugger to do up, though :/ And it's too quiet
